Connections’ Adult Program (CAP): A Pathway to Independence

The Connections Adult Program is designed specifically for adults with autism and related disabilities, ages 22 and up. Our program offers a supportive environment where participants can continue to grow, learn, and contribute to their community.

Key features of the program include:

• Vocational Training: Young adults receive training to acquire skills they’ll need at work, plus a general understanding about getting and keeping a job. The program allows individuals to explore different career paths and develop workplace skills such as communication, time management, and teamwork. It also offers expanded learning opportunities through our Health, Wellness & Aquatic Program, featuring weekly swim lessons and classes on fitness, healthy eating, kitchen safety and more.

• Life Skills Development: The curriculum emphasizes essential daily living skills, from cooking and cleaning to personal care, banking, goal setting and more. These skills are critical for fostering independence and self-sufficiency.

• Community Integration: The program encourages active participation in the community through recreational activities and social outings, helping individuals build meaningful connections and a sense of belonging.
